Frequently asked questions
Why does the calculator subtract reserved space before applying the aisle percentage?
Registration desks, stages and lounges are fixed areas that do not need aisles carved out of them in the same proportion as the booth blocks. Removing them first gives a cleaner estimate of the exhibit blocks you can actually sell.
Does this replace a venue floor plan or a fire marshal review?
No. It is a planning estimate to size your sales targets and venue negotiation. Column locations, egress paths and the fire marshal's aisle width requirements will change the final count.
How do I handle a mix of 10 x 10 and 20 x 20 booths?
Run the calculator once per booth size using the share of floor you intend for each, then add the counts together. Or run it with the 10 x 10 size and treat every four inline booths you plan to merge as one island.
